About Us

International Women of Hope (IWOH) was born out of a belief that God has a plan and a purpose for each person (Jeremiah 29:11). That belief led to the desire to share the love and grace of God with people who have been hurt and are hurting. In 2011, a mission trip to Haiti became the inspiration for ways to tangibly fulfill that desire by becoming advocates for women in crisis both in Haiti, the U.S and wherever our resources can reach.

We are a non-profit organization committed to making a difference in the lives of women by empowering them with resources, opportunities and counseling that results in healing, restoration and hope for a productive and safe future. We are committed to changing and touching the lives of women, one woman at a time.

When we empower women, we empower their families and their communities.

Mission and Vision

We have a simple, but robust mission and it is to help women in need and to be an agent of H.O.P.E (Healing, Opportunity, Purpose, and Empowerment) for women in crisis in Haiti, the U.S. and wherever our resources can reach! We do that by focusing on equipping women in Haiti with the necessary resources and education to create a sustainable lifestyle through donated materials and educational seminars on agriculture, leadership, entrepreneurship and self-development.

We teach women how to foster their talent and creativity into economical opportunities not only for themselves but for their children and communities.

Our Goals

  • To be advocates for women experiencing social, physical, psychological, sexual, and cultural crisis by providing nurturing assistance and guidance.

  • To develop a process of empowerment for women that results in a balanced and fruitful living.

  • To provide free professional counseling.

  • To establish a physical place of refuge (Healing House) in Haiti.

  • To expose and take a stand against Human Trafficking that exists in our community.

  • To provide education and resources for battered and abused women.

  • To find new ways to raise awareness of domestic violence and to prevent it from happening in our community.

  • To explore new avenues for resource development.

Our Stand

  • Taking a stand against violence of any form towards women

  • Taking a stand against human trafficking

  • Raising awareness of how these problems affect families and communities

  • Finding resources to help women face the problems that act as barriers from achieving their full potential, all became more than just an idea.
