International Women of H.O.P.E. Response to Haiti’s 2021 Earthquake
The morning of August 14, 2021, Haiti encountered its second disastrous earthquake in over a decade. The southern region was hit drastically leaving over a million women, children and families displaced and uncertain of their future. Currently over 2,000 people were killed and an estimated 10,000 injured. Schools, homes, churches and roads have been destroyed making it challenging for relief to reach certain areas. International Women of H.O.P.E. is working tirelessly behind the scenes collaborating with other organizations to provide support and relief immediately. There are over 500,000 people that are on the verge to famine if more aid isn’t provided.
In addition to providing survival necessities, International Women of H.O.P.E. is strategizing on recovery programs and long term reconstruction, that are sustainable and safe to withstand future disasters. We cannot do this work alone. We need your help to provide the maximum benefit to children and families. Please donate today!
We are grateful to those who continue to support us through their generosity. A vision is a vision without like minded people along the way who will do their best or donate to see that other people's life being transformed.
So much needs, my heart is broken! I have to keep believing with those who are suffering that there is hope.
It is going to be better.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.-Jeremiah 29:11
