At International Women of H.O.P.E, we believe that lasting change begins with education — and that empowering women is inseparable from investing in the next generation. When we educate a child, we strengthen a mother. When we support a family, we build a community. And when we refuse to stay silent in the face of inequality, we open the door to transformation.
In the rural community of La Lomas, on the outskirts of Saint-Michel-de-l’Attalaye, we were confronted with a reality that deeply moved us: children between the ages of 16 and 18 who had never stepped foot into a classroom. When Pastor Lauran shared this reality with us, after a visit there, we knew we could not turn away.
Since 2023, through partnership, faith, and commitment, we have taken action. Together with local leaders and faith partners, we began offering what we call the bread of education — access, dignity, and hope. To date, 134 children are enrolled in school, supported by four dedicated teachers and a school director. We have met with them, listened carefully, and committed ourselves not only to access, but to quality education.
This work goes beyond classrooms. It is about empowering teachers so children may thrive. It is about elevating education in underserved communities. And it is about sending a clear message — especially to men and leaders walking alongside us — that we believe in the next generation and are willing to invest with courage and consistency.
With Gratitude for Partnership
We extend our sincere appreciation to our partners, Lyn and Grace New Hope Church, for walking alongside us in this transformative work. Your support, collaboration, and shared commitment make it possible to strengthen teachers, equip students, and expand hope through education.
Together, we are not just educating children —
we are shaping futures.
Best regards
